Michael Coren (National Post) puts into perspective the squabble against the Israeli re-construction of the washed out ramp leading up to the Mugrabi Gate, the entrance to the Temple Mount above the Western Wall. It’s interesting that the Globe and Mail had a more contentious article by Michael Bell, former Canadian Ambassador to Israel, who among other inferences, implies that Ariel Sharon triggered the Al Aqsa intifada in 2000 although we know that Arafat prepared to attack Israel for weeks in the summer of 2000. In this case, the Arabs do not want the Israelis looking for artifacts that might prove a Jewish connection to the TempleMount. Michael Coren has it right!
