| Who We Are |
The Max and Beatrice Wolfe Library and Resource Centre has a long history of excellent service to the congregation and the Toronto Jewish community. As a reflection of its high professional standards, the library received a status of the Advanced Accreditation from the Association of the Jewish Libraries in 2003. Such high level of accreditation is achieved by only a few libraries in Canada. The library received the 2005 Solomon Schechter Gold Award from the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism in the category of Library programming.
The Library and Resource Centre houses a full range of materials in all formats-print and non-print – for the purpose of research, education and leisure reading. The library’s mission statement reflects the desire and commitment to help users enrich their Jewish identity and serve as a primary resource for Jewish study.
The Max and Beatrice Wolfe Library and Resource Centre and the United Synagogue Day School Library share the same physical space utilizing each other’s collections and assisting each other’s patrons. Library is also committed to supporting the curriculum of the Beth Tzedec Congregational School with the library resources and programs. In addition Library presents a variety of events geared to the interest of different group of patrons. |
