NEW—In advance of of the Out of the Cold Art Circle Exhibition and Sale, several paintings will be on display at Beth Tzedec on Shabbat, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.
Beth Sholom and Beth Tzedec's Out of the Cold program hosts over 150 guests every week during the winter season. It offers a hot dinner, overnight shelter, breakfast, a bagged lunch and clothing donations.
Guests also have the opportunity to partake in an art program. Gathering around tables, sharing ideas and creating art, they form an atmosphere of warmth, imagination and colour. From beginners to experienced artists, together they all support and inspire one another.
The program culminates in an annual art show in which artists exhibit and sell their own work, raising funds and public awareness of homelessness and poverty in Toronto.
This year's Art Circle will be held on Sunday, April 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Beth Sholom Synagogue (1445 Eglinton Ave. W). Admission is pay what you can, with suggested price of $5)
