Membership at Beth Tzedec Congregation makes an important statement of connection and commitment to the greater Jewish community, in Toronto, Israel and around the world. Membership enables you to enrich your Jewish life and puts you in contact with people who have similar interests. You can observe your moments of joy and sorrow within a sensitive and supportive community. Membership provides many opportunities to celebrate our traditions and helps ensure a bright Jewish future.

All membership contributions are tax deductible.
We look forward to welcoming you to Beth Tzedec.
Beth Tzedec’s mission is to inspire our community to live meaningful Jewish lives. Since July 1, 2022, Beth Tzedec no longer charges membership contributions (fees) for those under 40. Membership enables you to enrich your Jewish life, to connect with those who have similar interests and to observe moments of joy and sorrow within a sensitive and supportive community. Beth Tzedec cares about our members and their connection to the community, and by investing in and building relationships with younger adults, we can all live and share more meaningful lives.

At Beth Tzedec, we use a “fair share” system for our members ages 40 and older, where each family makes an annual contribution for membership, including amounts for security and our building. This is based on each family’s ability to contribute.
We understand that every member has a different capacity to give, so Beth Tzedec has a membership contribution schedule which consists of a series of graduated levels. A “fair share” membership contribution system also allows Beth Tzedec to offer membership to those who otherwise would be unable to afford membership in a “fixed dues” system (where all members pay the same level, regardless of their financial situation).
