The loss of a loved one, at any time, is challenging. Loss during the time of COVID-19 brings a host of other issues that may complicate our grief and bereavement. Judaism has a clear set of mourning rituals that have been painfully absent during this pandemic.
Listening to how some of you are sharing your feelings about not being able to attend funerals, or returning home to an empty house following a sparsely attended funeral has been heartbreaking.
With that in mind, we are inviting you to a Zoom support group called 'Loss in the Time of COVID-19', to be facilitated by Debbie Berlin (BSW, MSW, RSW) and a founder of Neshama Hospice, Toronto's first Jewish hospice, which will be breaking ground in 2021.
We want to provide an opportunity for you to meet, support and share - together. You are not alone.
