Reb Steve will share coffee with Steven Skurka, Criminal Defense Lawyer and Author. They will have a discussion on his most recent book, Pharo and the Clever Assassin.
This week's conversation will be broadcast live to the Beth Tzedec Facebook page and YouTube channel. Comment with your questions for Steven on either platform!

Steve Skurka is a highly respected criminal defense lawyer in Toronto. He defended the landmark racial profiling case in Canada of R. v. Brown involving a former player on the Toronto Raptors. In other precedent-setting cases, he led evidence of marijuana-induced psychosis to mitigate his client’s sentence and relied on the battered child syndrome in a homicide case.
Steve taught at Osgoode Hall Law School, acted as the legal analyst for CTV, and wrote a book about the sensational case of media baron Conrad Black. He is currently at work on Pharo and the Murder at Smoke Lake, the sequel to Pharo and the Clever Assassin.
