A Night of Learning and Celebration

Nashuvah, Return Again.
Join us at Beth Tzedec as gather to learn, celebrate and pray together in celebration of Shavuot. We begin the evening with a community program honouring our COVID-era Bar/Bat Mitzvah students and families. Then, Minhah and Festival Ma'ariv Services begins at 8:30 p.m. followed by a night of learning with Rabbi Steven Wernick, Rabbi Fryer Bodzin, Rabbi Baruch Frydman-Kohl, Yacov Fruchter, Aviva Chernick and Corinne Promislow, concluding with a midnight Torah reading.
A kids' program for those in Grades 2 through 5 will run in tandem, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
There is no charge for the learning sessions or the kids' program, but pre-registration is required for the light dinner. To register for the dinner, click here>>
7:15 to 8:30 p.m. – COVID-era B'nei Mitzvah learning and presentation with Rabbi Wernick; everyone is welcome
8:30 p.m. – Candle lighting, Minhah, Ma'ariv
9:00 p.m. – Kiddush, Motzei, cheesecake, with a learning session with Yacov Fruchter and Rabbi Frydman-Kohl on "We are All Connected: Kol Yisrael Areivim"
10:00 p.m. – Two learning sessions:
Opportunity 1: Aviva Chernick on "From the Individual to the Communal: The Torah of Revelation Through a Mindfulness Lens"
Opportunity 2: Rabbi Fryer Bodzin and Corinne Promislow on "What Does Hate Look Like", a conversation on Corinne's book of the same name.
10:45 p.m. – Break and food
11:00 p.m. – Learning session with Rabbi Wernick
