Is Canada Ready for the Demographic Time Bomb Hurtling at Us?” No, we aren’t, says award winning journalist and writer Sandra Martin in a provocative talk about longevity in a rapidly changing society in which there are more people over 65 than under 15 and centenarians are the fastest growing demographic. Martin argues that we need to transform our definitions of home, family, retirement and especially old age on a personal and societal level if we are to prepare for the new reality.
