Beth Tzedec is proud to host a celebratory Shabbat and Congregational Kiddush honouring Rabbi Steven Wernick who will receive an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary in recognition of his achievements over many years of distinguished service.
Join us at one of two Shabbat morning services:
- Musical Participatory Service at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary, led by Cantor Sidney Ezer, Asher Farber and the HarmonEzers and a pulpit presentation from guest Yizhar Hess, Deputy Chair of the World Zionist Organization (WZO)
- Short & Sweet Multi-Generational Family Service led by Daniel Silverman and Yacov Fruchter, beginning at 10:30 am in the Kimel Family Gym
Following Services, we will all gather for an opportunity to share a mazal tov and a l’chaim with Reb Steve at a special, enhanced Congregational Kiddush in his honour. Dr. Yizhar Hess will be our guest speaker.
