Beth Tzedec is a destination for Jewish living. More than just services and learning, Beth Tzedec guides our values and impacts our actions. Pirkey Avot teaches “Al shlosha devarim haolam omed, al haTorah, al ha’avodah, v’al gemilut chasadim” – “The world depends on three things: the learning of Torah, the service of Hashem, and on acts of kindness” (Avos 1:2).
It is our duty as Jewish people to be a light onto the other nations and to help participate in tikkun olam, repairing the world. Beth Tzedec provides opportunities to volunteer and get involved in helping our community and outside organizations and charities. We are part of this amazing movement to help make the world a better place. When we commit ourselves to acting on our values, we create a meaningful Jewish life. By treating others with hesed, kindness, and acting for justice, we empower ourselves to change the world.
