Through photos, videos and film footage from Israeli, Palestinian and other news sources, Alan Zucker will share his experiences as a civilian volunteer at the IDF Southern Command Centre at Re'im following the war in Gaza. He will present an exclusive viewing of interviews on the base about the war
– its causes, the negotiations, and the war itself.
Alan Zucker is an international business consultant for Fortune 500 companies and has written for the New York Times, University of Chicago Press and Texas State University. He volunteered in Israel during the 2006 war with Lebanon and again in 2014 during the war with Gaza. In 1987, he travelled to the Soviet Union with six others, including Rabbi Baruch Frydman-Kohl, to give comfort to refusniks in Odessa, Leningrad and Moscow.
