Talking Torah with Daniel Silverman

Sefer VaYikra - The Book of Leviticus

Jan 17 2026, 9:30AM to 10:15AM in the Herman Hall.

Join Daniel Silverman, Director of Education, for a weekly examination of the Book of Leviticus (Sefer VaYikra).

Traditionally, VaYikra is the first book of Torah that a child studies. We will explore how this book of Torah - often considered less relevant today due to its focus on animal sacrifice and ritual purity - has much to offer us. Using traditional and modern commentaries and academic perspectives, Leviticus will come to life.
