Racheli Kaplan is the Director of Strategic Partnerships at ANU - Museum of the Jewish People, Tel Aviv.
Prior to her role at ANU, Racheli served for four years as a Shlicha (emissary) to Toronto, Canada on behalf of the Jewish Agency for Israel. During this period, she served as the Director of Outreach at Hillel of Greater Toronto. Her role included program development, engaging Reform congregations and students on campuses throughout the city. Additionally, as a Jewish educator and experienced professional, Racheli contributed to the Israeli Consulate’s Branding Israel Project.
Racheli holds a M.A. in International Public Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. While studying, she served as Vice President of the Student Union and worked as a project supervisor at the Wellspring of Democratic Education in Jerusalem. Racheli established and led the Young Adults Leadership Forum at the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism, a program that is still active today. She was the recipient of a Minerva Center for Human Rights Fellowship and interned at the Israeli Religious Action Center in the Department of Social Justice.
In addition to her native Hebrew and fluent English, Racheli speaks Russian, French, conversational German, and Spanish. Her command of languages was put to good use when she acted as an assistant to the former President of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev, when he participated in the International Chancellors Summit Meetings held in Tel Aviv in 1999 and 2001.
In 2019 Racheli completed an additional M.A. at The Ruderman Program for American Jewish Studies, Haifa University.
