Tools for Ending Antisemitism: Understanding Ourselves and the Canadian Context of Antisemitism
This 6-week session (May 18 - June 22) will be a platform for Jews in their 20s and 30s to learn about and discuss the multi-faceted issues of antisemitism, with both historical and current lenses, and how we understand ourselves in the current context of antisemitism within Canada. Each session will provide personal investigation space, with speakers on relevant subjects who will provide a tool for understanding antisemitism. Facilitated discussions will help generate suggestion for bringing new ideas into action and collectively envisioning an end to antisemitism.
Sessions will include: Understanding Antisemitism, Histories and Shoah, Current Landscape and Definitions, Israel and Antisemitism, Intersections: Racism, Antisemitism and White Supremacy
This hybrid learning course will provide in-person (at Beth Tzedec) and virtual learning options.
Lishma is a learning community for people in their 20s and 30s organized by Holy Blossom Temple, Annex Shul, BASE Pluralistic Midrash, UJA Genesis, Miles Nadal JCC and Beth Tzedec Congregation.
