Monthly Teen Volunteering Opportunity

Volunteering for teens in grades 9 to 12

Nov 16 2025, 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the Mezzanine Hall.

As part of the growing volunteering opportunities for teens at Beth Tzedec, we’re excited to offer a monthly hands-on volunteering experience for students in grades 9 to 12.

Volunteering isn’t just about helping others—it’s about building empathy, leadership, and a deep sense of responsibility. In Judaism, the values of chesed (acts of loving-kindness) and tzedek (justice and doing what’s right) call on us to show up for others and create a more compassionate community. This program gives teens the chance to bring those values to life through meaningful, real-world action.

Each month, teens will connect with peers, contribute to causes that matter, earn volunteer hours, and grow as engaged and thoughtful Jewish leaders.

November Session: Inspiring Through Ideas
In November, our teens will begin preparing TED Talk–style presentations on meaningful and engaging topics. These will be shared at a special pre-Hanukkah celebration on December 7th with the clients of the Bernard Betel Center, a vibrant community center that provides cultural, social, educational, and wellness programs for seniors. Through this project, our teens will bring knowledge, inspiration, and joy to an intergenerational audience.
