BYOB: Bring Your Own Book, is a new social justice themed book club for Beth Tzedec 20s and 30s. This intimate Small Group will meet every other month to read a book and have a conversation about a pressing social issue. We'll read a mix of fiction and non-fiction and will engage in open, honest communication about the issue at hand. We will be starting on Zoom, and hope to meet in person when it is safe to do so! A Zoom link will be sent to you prior to the event.

This first book discussion is focused on local anti-black racism. In preparation for this event, we will be reading Desmond Cole's new book, The Skin We're In. During our book discussion we will also listen to the lived experiences of Jews of colour and discuss how we can address racism in our community. We are looking forward to an evening of listening, sharing, learning and growing together.
