The 15th day of Av is sometimes called the
Jewish Valentine’s Day, yet the practices and rituals associated with it are
very different from it’s modern namesake holiday. We will examine how these two
similarly themed but differently executed days celebrating love speak to the
benefits and challenges of living a Jewish life in the Diaspora.
