Robert (Bob) Slater is editorial consultant to The Jerusalem Post and a columnist for the Jerusalem Report. A New York native, he was a correspondent for Time Magazine in Israel from 1976 to 1996. For several years, he was the representative of the foreign press in its dealings with Israel's government and the Israel Defense Forces.
