Coldest Night of the Year

After Shabbat, on February 24, Beth Tzedec will be partnering with
Ve'ahavta in hosting their Coldest Night of the Year walk. The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Coldest Night of the Year not only creates awareness about the challenges people affected by poverty and homelessness face – it is an opportunity to raise vital funds to help meet the growing demand for Ve’ahavta’s lifesaving and life-changing programs. We encourage you sign-up, fundraise and join nearly 40,000 walkers in saying “We care!” To sign up, please click here>>

Out of the Cold Art Show and Sale

Mar 31 2019, 1:00PM to 3:00PM in the Beth Sholom Synagogue.
NOTE: This event has already occurred.

Join us for the 10th annual Out of the Cold Art Showcase and Sale at Beth Sholom Synagogue (1445 Eglinton Avenue W), featuring the work of the artists of the Beth Tzedec/Beth Sholom Out of the Cold Shelter.

The Shelter’s one-of-a-kind art program has empowered many of those who use our Shelter. Our guests work on their paintings and drawings for two hours every Tuesday night after dinner under the guidance of our experienced volunteer staff. At the end of the season, we have the art matted and framed for the Showcase. The artists received 90 percent of the sale of their work.

Artists will address the participants at 2:00 p.m. Artwork can be purchased; cash and cheque payments accepted.
