Alex Josephson, OAA, B.A.S, M.Arch, MRAIC is an architect, artist, teacher, and thinker who is engaged in architecture and design at all scales from products, to homes, to towers, to master plans for new cities and writings on the future of architecture. Alex studied around the world and in Canada at the University of Waterloo, University of Rome and The Van Alen Institute in New York. In 2012 he dropped out of the prestigious Architecture Association school of architecture in London to found PARTISANS, his studio in Toronto.

PARTISANS — Architecture is not the service of providing drawings to build a building. Architecture is the act of making obvious our dreams and values as a society into the physical world. PARTISANS fight for a cause: making the world a better place for us all and leaving it better off future generations. Our work embodies the ethos of activism brought to the world of architecture. True to our cause we believe that beauty emerges when design misbehaves. The future is possible only if we question the present.
