Shemini Atzeret Sanctuary Services, including Yizkor

Join us for our festival morning service for Shemini Atzeret, including Hallel, Tefillat Geshem and Yizkor, led by our Rabbis Steven Wernick and Robyn Fryer Bodzin, Cantor Sidney Ezer and ritual director Lorne Hanick. Lift your soul in prayer as you sing with us or close your eyes in meditation and be carried away by the magnificent harmonic sounds of the service.

Shemini Atzeret - October 17

Simẖat Torah Sanctuary Services

Please join us for the Simẖat Torah morning service including Hallel, Hakafot and the renewal of the Torah Reading cycle. As part of our Simhat Torah Services, we will honour our Kallat Torah Dena Libman and our H̱attan Bereisheet Oscar Zimmerman.

Our Yom Tov service offers the energy and inspiration of a complete spiritual and liturgical Shabbat experience as you sing along with Cantor Sidney Ezer. Rabbi Steven Wernick and Rabbi Robyn Fryer Bodzin offer insights into our Torah reading, expertly chanted by Lorne Hanick. Come to be a part of our special musical and spiritual davening. Lift your soul in prayer as you sing with us or close your eyes in meditation and be carried away by the magnificent harmonic sounds of the service.

Family, Youth and Teen Opportunities

Yom Tov Morning Fun!

Monday and Tuesday, October 17 & 18
9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Join us for a children's Yom Tov experience that builds Jewish knowledge and community. We start at 9:30 a.m. with loosely structured activities, and at 10:00 a.m. will divide into older (Jr. Congregation) and younger (Mini Minyans) groups for Tefillah (prayers) and an activity connected to the holiday Torah portion. Following a snack and a program with our Shinshinit Amit or another guest, we return to our families and help lead the concluding prayers of the service.

Children ages 3 and younger require adult accompaniment; those ages 4 and up can be dropped off.

Yom Tov Morning Fun is for children age 0 to 4 in Room 104.
Mini Minyans (starting at 10:00 a.m.) is for ages 5 through 7 in Room 103.
Jr. Congregation (starting at 10:00 a.m.) is for ages 8 through 12 in Room 102.


BTUSY Sukkah Hop for Grades 8 to 12

Saturday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m.

Join your friends from BTUSY for a teen Sukkah hop with Havdalah, a volunteer project, candy sukkah making and more! Community service hours will be provided. Pre-registration is required to Sylvie at smoscovitz@beth-tzedec.org
