Seniors

At Beth Tzedec, we understand the importance of cultivating lasting friendships and maintaining ties to the community, which is why our senior-focused initiatives aim to foster a sense of belonging and provide a supportive network. As Rabbi Steve Wernick has pointed out in his sermons, loneliness is a disease and community is the cure. Join us to connect with like-minded individuals, engage in meaningful activities, and create lasting memories.

Beth Tzedec doubly recognizes the importance of families sharing Jewish experiences together! We’re creating programming that is meaningful and enjoyable for the whole family – children, parents and grandparents. As the largest conservative synagogue in the world, we maintain Jewish traditions across generations, while creating new ones.

L'Dor Va Dor Pirkei Avot

May 25 2022, 11:00AM to 12:00PM in the Mezzanine Hall.
NOTE: This event has already occurred.

Pirkei Avot is a tractate of the Mishnah that details the Torah's views on ethics and interpersonal relationships. During this six-week learning series, we will examine how the Rabbis of Pirkei Avot shared wisdom with each other.

We will reference the Rabbinic Assembly's edition of Pirkei Avot Lev Shalem. All participants will be required to have a copy on-hand. Copies can be purchased through Beth Tzedec for $40.

This learning series will be offered both for in-person and virtual participation. Pre-registration is required for all; those attending in person much provide proof of full vaccination. To register and/or to purchase a copy of Pirkei Avot (if needed), click here>>
