Seniors

At Beth Tzedec, we understand the importance of cultivating lasting friendships and maintaining ties to the community, which is why our senior-focused initiatives aim to foster a sense of belonging and provide a supportive network. As Rabbi Steve Wernick has pointed out in his sermons, loneliness is a disease and community is the cure. Join us to connect with like-minded individuals, engage in meaningful activities, and create lasting memories.

Beth Tzedec doubly recognizes the importance of families sharing Jewish experiences together! We’re creating programming that is meaningful and enjoyable for the whole family – children, parents and grandparents. As the largest conservative synagogue in the world, we maintain Jewish traditions across generations, while creating new ones.

"Among Edelman's many strengths as a writer and performer is an exceptional eye for the absurd." —The New Yorker

Fresh from his sold out US tour, Broadway sensation Alex Edelman comes to Beth Tzedec!

Beth Tzedec is thrilled to present award-winning stand-up comedian, actor, and writer Alex Edelman
for an evening of comedy and conversation. Join us for a stand-up performance and a discussion about Alex's experiences being Jewish on a public stage.

Alex's most recent show, "Just for Us", which hilariously explores the absurdities of contemporary racism in North America, has seen remarkable momentum in 2023 and 2024. From its off-Broadway success to a Broadway run, this thought-provoking and hilarious performance has garnered acclaim, selling out in both New York and Los Angeles. A staunch advocate for Israel, Alex has opened for comedians like Ricky Gervais, Jack Whitehall, and Patton Oswalt, and has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. More about Alex Edelman.

There are three ticket tiers from which you can choose: 1) General Admission; 2) Premium Seating; 3) Gold Tickets. (The Gold ticket tier includes admission to a VIP reception with Alex Edelman at 6:30 p.m. and a tax receipt for the maximum allowable amount.)

The evening closes with a Pub Night especially for Millennials and Gen-Zs, and childcare is available for children ages 7 and up.
