BT 20s & 30s builds community by providing social, educational and social action programming for adults aged 22 to 40.
We offer always popular monthly Shabbat dinners, Small Groups, learning opportunities with partners such as Lishma and Shoresh, nature and mindfulness retreats led by Aviva Chernick, meaningful volunteer/ẖesed opportunities and holiday parties.
Reach out to Yacov Fruchter, Director of Community Building and Spiritual Engagement at 416-781-3514 ext. 279 or yfruchter@beth-tzedec.org to learn more and to explore how you can get involved in a way that is meaningful for you. Watch for upcoming events in our weekly newsletters, social media, and listed in our calendar.
Join our Generations Members in the Pay It Forward Campaign, Beth Tzedec’s initiative as part of the international GivingTuesday movement. Whether you choose to sign up to volunteer your time or make a financial donation, please know that your contribution is essential to the sustainability of Beth Tzedec.
We are pleased to announce the BT (Beth Tzedec) Riders Small Group. The idea is that once a month we will gather to cycle together and build community. Reb Steve and Alan Sless are your team captains!
This group is open to all who would like to join. And yes, you can come and go as you are able. And yes, your riding level is welcome. When we are outside, we can separate into groups.
Outdoors weather permitting.
* Meet at Beth Tzedec. Street riding west to Royal York. South to Lakeside. East to Bayview Extension. Through Prospect Park and back to Beth Tzedec. (If rain we will set up a Zwift and Discord meetup. See below.)
November 7, December 12, January 9, February 6, March 6, and April 3 - all Sundays — all 8:30am-9:30am inside group rides.
April 24, May 22 and June 12 we hope to be outside, weather permitting. Routes will be determined. And we’ll order Jerseys too!
To participate indoors you will need to download Discord. It’s a voice/conference app. It’s free! Once you get it tag Reb Steve as a friend and he will add you to the group.
Ideally if you have a Smart Trainer, download and subscribe to Zwift and download the Zwift Companion app. It’s an investment, but if you are someone who wants to use the winter to get ready for the cycling season, it’s well worth it.
With Zwift we can create a meetup. As long as you pedal you stay with the group.
With Discord, even if you decide to use your not so smart trainer, your peloton, or anything else, even a treadmill, we can chat while we work out.
Contact Reb Steve if you want to discuss or need help.
Sign up if you're interested, even if you’re not sure you can participate. And please pass the word to Beth Tzedec members and others who may want to join.
