BT 20s & 30s builds community by providing social, educational and social action programming for adults aged 22 to 40.

We offer always popular monthly Shabbat dinners, Small Groups, learning opportunities with partners such as Lishma and Shoresh, nature and mindfulness retreats led by Aviva Chernick, meaningful volunteer/ẖesed opportunities and holiday parties.

Conversations Over Coffee with Reb Steve: Adi Eshman and Desiree Abeyta

Rabbi Steven Wernick gathers a cadre of community leaders for a series of conversations on politics, culture, social existence and Jewish life. Each session will be streamed over Zoom and broadcast to Facebook and YouTube. Grab a cup of coffee and log on to join us.

Reb Steve will share coffee with Adi Eshman, a playwright, screenwriter and producer, and director, actor and filmmaker Desirée Abeyta.

Desiree Abeyta 
is a Telly Award-winning actor, filmmaker, and producer, known for exploring social and feminist themes through a magical/hopeful lens. Her debut short film, An Invitation to Tea, was one of five recipients of the Inwood Artworks Filmmaker Grant in 2019 and received two Audience Choice Awards, as well as several "excellence in filmmaking" accolades from various festivals. She has been described as a strong visual artist drawn to diverse and engaging storytelling that stems from a foundation of social consciousness.




Adi Eshman
is a playwright, screenwriter, and producer based in Los Angeles. His plays have been read or workshopped at the Columbia University, NYU Gallatin, Los Angeles Theatre Center, the New Ohio Theater, Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, Ophelia Theater, The Shelter, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Theater for the New City, and The Tank. His short film ANNE just had its  Canadian premiere at the Toronto Jewish Film Festival. He is a member of EST/LA New West. He is a rising third year at USC’s School of Dramatic Arts, earning his MFA in Dramatic Writing. BA: NYU Gallatin (Class of ’15). adiesman.net
