Mike Katz is the former head coach of the University of Toronto's Varsity Blues and the Humber College men's basketball team. He coached his teams to five national championships and received three Coach of the Year awards during his coaching years.
Katz was also Canada's head coach for the Maccabiah Games in 1992, as well as head coach of the World Student Games in Sicily, Italy in 1997. He was an assistant coach of Team Canada's men's basketball squad at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and was inducted into the Ontario Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014.
