BT 20s & 30s builds community by providing social, educational and social action programming for adults aged 22 to 40.

We offer always popular monthly Shabbat dinners, Small Groups, learning opportunities with partners such as Lishma and Shoresh, nature and mindfulness retreats led by Aviva Chernick, meaningful volunteer/ẖesed opportunities and holiday parties.

Wartime! Emil Fackenheim's Radio Addresses, 1943 - 1948 with Professor Michael Morgan

Emil Fackenheim was one of the most significant Jewish theologians of the 20th century. He taught philosophy at the University of Toronto, and before his academic career, served as Rabbi of Hamilton's Temple Anshe Sholom. Fackenheim also spoke regularly on the radio. Professor Michael Morgan discusses the comments and ideas Fackenheim shared with his radio audience. Yossi Fackenheim, Emil's youngest son, will also read some of his father's addresses during the presentation.



Prof. Michael Morgan is the Emeritus Chancellor's Professor Philosophy and Jewish Studies at Indiana University (Bloomington). He is an expert on the work of Emil Fackenheim, one of the most important 20th century Jewish philosophers and the pre-eminent post-Holocaust Jewish thinker.  Prof. Morgan has written and edited numerous books, articles and reviews and in 1982 was awarded the Amoco Foundation Teaching Award.
